Brass City Charter School is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization authorized by the State of Connecticut to receive state funding on condition that we:
1. admit Waterbury children without discrimination and through an annual lottery for open spaces if there are more applicants than openings;
2. charge no fees for the educational services we provide;
3. and undergo scheduled charter renewals to show that BCCS is fulfilling its mission, which is to provide a rigorous academic and holistic social-emotional learning program to eliminate the achievement gap for underserved students in Waterbury.
Brass City Charter School does not discriminate in any employment practice, education program, or educational activity on the basis of race, color, religious creed, sex, age, national origin, ancestry, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or any other basis prohibited by Connecticut state and/or federal nondiscrimination laws.
